KUNDALINI YOGA & MEDITATION CLASSES AT METTA

Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.

In Kundalini Yoga, you harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.Kundalini Yoga is not a religion. When you apply the technology of Kundalini Yoga to your bodies and minds, it has the effect of uplifting the spirit. It is for everyone. It is universal and nondenominational.

Kundalini Yoga is a yoga for householders, for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of holding jobs, raising families, and managing businesses. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.

Kundalini Yoga was kept very secret until 1969 when Yogi Bhajan taught it openly in order to prepare humanity for the major changes that this planet is going through as we cross from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age. Breathwork & Yoga

A therapeutic body stretch, flexibility and centering class focusing on healing, breathwork, mindfulness and energy release. Great for true beginners, yet customizable for more advanced levels. Every student will benefit from the breathwork therapy, body opening poses and stretches as well as the healing therapy aspect of the class.

Hatha Yoga & Meditation

Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

This Hatha class ends with a guided meditation practice.

Experience tried and tested Kundalini yoga sets and meditations that combine specific breath work, mudras, eye-focus, mantras, body locks, and physical postures to challenge and strengthen the nervous system, balance the glandular system, expand the lung capacity, and purify the blood which brings balance to the body, mind, and spirit.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.

Yin Reiki Yoga

A soothing yoga practice that combines carefully selected gentle Yin Yoga postures held for 3 to 5 minutes, with a Reiki treatment using energy to support and boost the natural healing and cleansing processes in the body. Sound Healing is incorporated during this class to allow the bodymind to go deeper into rest and relaxation. Beautiful and blissful.

Yoga Sculpt

Vinyasa yoga class with strength training exercises and cardiovascular work in a heated environment between 75-85 degrees F. Benefits include toning and strengthening of all the major muscles of your body and at the same time maintains the mental and meditative principles of yoga. All levels are welcome.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE METTA SPACE YOGA CLASSES

MATS: Please bring a yoga mat to all classes. We do offer yoga mat rentals for $2.

LATE POLICY: Please try to arrive 15 – 20 minutes early, take ample time to find parking. Any cancelation less than 24 hours before the class will result in a $10 charge to your account.

CANCELLATION POLICY | RESTRICTIONS | AGE REQUIREMENTS

24 Hour Late Cancelation Policy: cancelations made less than 24 hours in advance will receive a late cancelation penalty. Monthly members are charged $10, and all other students will lose that class credit. You can cancel online through MindBody or by phone +1 619 3631065.

Class Late Policy: students arriving late for the start of class will not be allowed to enter class. Please try to arrive 15 – 20 minutes early.

Age Restrictions: persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during any yoga class.

Class Sharing: monthly membership or class passes may not be shared or transferred.

The Metta Space New Student Specials: only for local San Diego residents (ID required at first class) and new students who have never taken a yoga class at The Metta Space. No New Student Specials or Packages can be paused or extended after the student has taken their first class.
